Italian Wiines : Sainsbury's regional wine guides
London: Websters, 1990
Abstract:
That's why we need a wine guide: it is almost impossible to define "Italian wine", because the country stretches from Austria in the north almost to Africa in the south, and houses a huge number of soil types, climates, altitudes and, grape varieties. And even the more widespread grape varieties have developed different characteristics in different parts of the country. So there is an almost infinite number of flavors.
